Director of Diving

Christian Boyers

Christian Boyers is a technical diving instructor and Director of Diving at Aquatech Academy. Based in Roatán, his approach is built around precision, deliberate progression, and developing divers who can think clearly and perform confidently underwater.

Influenced by DIR traditions without being dogmatic, Christian focuses on strong fundamentals, team awareness, and the human factors behind good decision-making.

At Aquatech, he leads diving operations and works to develop divers who are not simply better at diving, but better at thinking, communicating, and functioning as a team.

Director of Development

Alma Mejia "Gigi"

Alma Mejia is a technical diving instructor and Director of Development at Aquatech Academy. Her approach to diving is centered on progression, curiosity, and developing confidence through experience rather than simply collecting certifications.

She believes that good diving is as much about understanding yourself as it is about mastering your equipment. Her focus is on creating an environment where divers can challenge themselves, learn from experience, and develop the awareness and judgment that make them stronger teammates.

At Aquatech, Alma helps shape our training, mentorship, and the culture of continuous development that sits at the heart of the team.
